SSS MARIAN SONGS III

1. INA NG PAGLAYA

(1)

Koro)

3. HAIL MARY: GENTLE WOMAN

(1)

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blest is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

(2)

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of death. Amen.

(Antiphon)

Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star, so strong and bright, gentle Mother, peaceful dove, teach us wisdom; teach us love.

(3)

You were chosen from all women and for woman, shining one. (Ant.)

(4)

Blessed are you among women. Blest in turn all women too. Blessed they with peaceful spirits. Blessed they with gentle hearts. (Ant)

Koro)

4. MARY IS OUR QUEEN

(1)

Mary is our Queen, O sing to her. Mary is our Mother, trust in her, Mary is the star that shines at night, guiding us to Jesus, our true light. Mary is the creature of our race whom the Holy Spirit filled with grace to become the Mother of our Lord, the God whom she adored. Ave, ave, ave Maria. Ave, ave, ave Maria.

[Repeat until…the God whom she adored]

5. ON THIS DAY, O BEAUTIFUL MOTHER

(Antiphon)

On this day, O beautiful Mother, on this day we give thee our love. Near thee, Madonna, fondly we hover, trusting thy gentle care to prove.

(1)

On this day we ask to share, Dearest Mother thy sweet care. Aid us ere our feet astray, wander from thy guiding way. (Ant)

(2)

Queen and Mother, deign to hear, all thy children’s humble pray’r: young hearts gain, O living pure, gently to thy self allure. (Ant)

6. IMMACULATE MOTHER

(1)

Immaculate Mother, we come at thy call. And low at thy altar before thee we fall.

(Antiphon)

Ave, Ave, Ave Maria! Ave, Ave, Ave Maria!

(2)

In grief and temptation, in joy and in pain, we’ll seek thee, our Mother, nor seek thee in vain
