SSS Adoration Songs

1. O SAKRAMENTONG MAHAL (II)

O Sakramentong mahal, O Sakramentong banal. Lahat ng pauri at pasasalamat, sa Iyo magpakailanpaman, sa Iyo magpakailanpaman.

2. HOW GREAT THOU ART

(1)

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds Thy hands have made; I see the universe displayed.

(Antiphon)

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee, How great Thou art, how great Thou art! Then sings my soul! My Savior God to Thee. How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

(2)

When through the woods and forest glades I wonder and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur and hear the books and feel the gentle breeze. (Ant)

(3)

And when I think that God His Son not sparing, sent Him to die I scarcely can take it in! That on the cross my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin! (Ant)

(4)

When Christ shall come with shouts of acclamation and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration, and there proclaim: “My God, how great Thou art!” (Ant)

3. ISANG BANSA

(1)

4. GOD FATHER, PRAISE AND GLORY

(1)

God Father, praise and glory, Your children come to sing. Good will and peace to mankind, the gifts your kingdom brings.

(Antiphon)

O most Holy Trinity, undivided Unity; Holy God, Mighty God, God Immortal, be adored.

(2)

And you, Lord Co-eternal, God’s sole begotten Son, O Jesus, King anointed, You have redemption won. (Ant)

(3)

O Holy Ghost, Creator, the Gift of God Most High. Life, love and holy wisdom, our weaknesses now supply. (Ant)

5. FIRMLY I BELIEVE AND TRULY

(1)

Firmly I believe and truly, God is three and God is One; and I next acknowledge duly, manhood taken by he Son.

(2)

And I trust and hope most fully in that manhood crucified; and I love supremely, solely, Christ who for my sins has died.

(3)

And I hold in veneration, for the love of him alone. Holy Church as his creation, and her teachings as his own.

(4)

Praise and thanks be ever given with and through the angel host, To the God of earth and heaven, Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

6. AT THE NAME OF JESUS

(1)

At the name of Jesus ev’ry knee shall bow, ev’ry tongue confess him King of glory now, ‘Tis the Father’s pleasure, we should call him Lord, who from the beginning was the mighty Word.

(2)

Humbled for a season, to receive a name. From the lips of sinners, unto whom he came, faithfully he bore it, spotless to the last, brought it back victorious, when from death he passed.

(3)

Bore it up triumphant, with its human light, through all ranks of creatures, to the central height, to the throne of Godhead, to the Father’s breast; filled it with the glory of that perfect rest.

(4)

In your hearts enthrone him; there, let him subdue all that is not holy, all that is not true; may your voice entreat him in temptation’s hour; let his will enfold you in its light and power.

(3)

Brothers, this Lord Jesus shall return again, with his Father’s glory, o’er the earth to reign; he is God, the Savior, he is Christ the Lord, ever to be worshipped, always blest, adored.

7. HOLY GOD, WE PRAISE THY NAME

(1)

Holy God, we praise thy Name! Lord of all, we bow before thee! All on earth thy scepter claim, All in heaven above adore thee! Infinite thy vast domain, Everlasting is thy reign.

(2)

Hark the loud celestial hymn, angel choirs above are raising; Cherubim and Seraphim, In unceasing chorus praising. Fill the heavens with sweet accord: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord!

(3)

Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit, three we name thee, While in essence only One, Undivided God we claim thee; And adoring bend the knee, while we own the mystery.

8. I SHALL PRAISE THE SAVIOR’S GLORY

(1)

I shall praise the Savior’s glory, of his flesh the mystery sing, and the blood, all price excelling, shed by our immortal King: God made man for our salvation, who from virgin pure did spring.

(2)

Born for us, and for us given, born a man like us below, Christ as man with man residing, lived the seed of truth to sow, suffered bitter death unflinching, and immortal love did show.

(3)

On the night before he suffered, seated with his chosen band, Jesus, when they all had feasted, faithful to the law’s command, far more precious food provided: gave himself with his own hand.

(4)

Word made flesh, true bread of heaven, by his word made flesh to be, from the wine his blood is taken, though our senses cannot see, faith alone which is unshaken shows pure hearts the mystery.

(5)

Therefore we, before him falling, this great sacrament revere; ancient forms are now departed, for new acts of grace are here, faith our feeble senses aiding, makes the Savior’s presence clear.

(6)

To the everlasting Father and his Son who reigns on high, with the Holy Ghost proceeding forth from each eternally, be all honor, glory, blessing, power and endless majesty.

9. ALL HAIL, ADORED TRINITY

(1)

All hail, adored Trinity: all praise, eternal Unity: O God the Father, God the Son, and God, the Spirit, ever One.

(2)

Three Persons praise we evermore, and thee the Eternal One adore: in thy sure mercy, ever kind, may we our true protection find.

(3)

O Trinity, O Unity, be present as we worship thee; and to the angel’s songs in light our prayers and praises now unite.

(4)

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below; praise him above, ye heav’nly host: Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

10. HOLY, HOLY, HOLY

(1)Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee: Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty, God in three persons, blessed Trinity.

(2)

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee, though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see; only thou art holy; there is none beside thee, which were, and are, and ever more shall be. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea; Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty, God in three persons, blessed Trinity.
